You’ll find all kinds of doors at Southside, and you’ll find that we can make just about any door that you want.
Slab door. A basic door without hardware, hinges, or frame. If your dog ruined your door and you want to replace it, this is what you need.
Pre-hung door. A door that comes ready to insert into a wall, including frame and hinges. All you have to do is hang!
Flat door. A flat door with no panels. It’s…flat.
Panel door. A door with vertical ‘stiles’ and horizontal ‘rails’, which surround panels. This gives dimension and style to a door. Windows can be inserted instead of panels. The most common panel door is a 15 panel, with five down and three across.
Transom doors. A door with a window over it. Back in the days before air conditioning, these were used for ventilation.
French doors. A pair of panel doors with glass panes instead of wooden panels.
