You only have a couple more weeks until your roof will be visited by the jolly old elf himself! Here’s how to tell if your roof is ready for Santa – not to mention eight tiny reindeer.
Grab a ladder (yes, we have them) and climb up take a good long look at your roof.
- Look for buckling or curling shingles.
- Make sure no shingles are missing.
- Visit your attic and look for damp spots or leaks.
- Check for algae, moss, or piles of leaves.
- Examine the flashing, chimneys, dormers, vent pipes, and gutters.
If you find damage to any of the above, you need to get repairs done – or maybe even a new roof. Ideally shingles should be installed at temperatures between 40 and 85 degrees, so now’s a great time to do it – before the really cold weather of winter settles in.
Whether you’re repairing or replacing, come to Southside and save a bundle – on a bundle of shingles. Contractors and home builders love to buy shingles at Southside because of the quality and value we offer.
So take our list, check it twice, and if your roof isn’t nice – come on in to Southside!
