At Southside Building Center, you’ll find a great variety of shingles that are labeled “seconds” by the manufacturer. Southside Building Center purchases these by the truckload of these shingles for our client base who consider them a great value.
Why is a Second a Second? Sometimes a company will reject a batch of shingles because the color is slightly lighter or darker than what’s usually sold. Sometimes there are minor flaws. Other times they packages are simply mislabeled. The minor flaws that make a shingle a second don’t affect the product’s quality or longevity.
The biggest difference between a second and a first quality is the price. Compare for yourself and you’ll see that SBC prices are usually 25 to 30 percent less than the suggested retail price.
And you get a new roof that will last for 20 or 30 years. If you’re in the market for a new roof, you owe it to yourself to take a look at what’s available. Stock is always coming in, and you won’t be disappointed with the selection.
Want Something Specific? If you don’t see what you want or you have something specific in mind, we can special order it for you. (These prices are higher because they’re first quality shingles.)
If you have any questions about roofing, give us a call or drop in. We’d love to help you find what you’re looking for. You’ll find shingles at prices to put a smile on your face and leave a little jingle in your pocket.
*Note: With prices this low, the manufacturer’s warranty isn’t included.
