We love it when our customers send us pictures of their remodel. This customer sent pictures, then actually wrote about their new bathroom vanity and countertop and agreed to let us share it with you! (If you have pictures of your remodel, please send them to us!)
“Our house was built in 1917, and the master bath was added in 1973. It hadn’t been remodeled since. The vanity was handmade, and by someone who wasn’t sure what they were doing. The countertop was like what was in your grandmother’s house. And the sink leaked.
We had heard that you guys had the best prices on vanities around, but we live an hour away from your store. We went to (a big box store) for an estimate, but it was really out of our budget. So we made the trek to Southside. We looked at all the vanities you had assembled, but didn’t find one that was the exact right size.
So we talked to Joe. He helped us figure out what to do. He told us to get two stock cabinets and put them side by side.
Then he helped us order a cultured marble countertop with an integrated sink. He even gave us color advice!
My husband is pretty handy, so we opted to get non-assembled cabinets. That saved us some money. He had no trouble putting them together, and kept saying how nicely built they were. He got it installed with no trouble at all.
Then it came time to put in the countertop. The problem was that our bathroom isn’t quite square, so the countertop didn’t go in at first. It was very easy to sand off the little bit that made it fit.
We are beyond pleased with the result. And it was so very much cheaper – even counting extra gas and our time – than if we had purchased it locally.
Thank you so much! We’ve enclosed pictures.”
