Luxury Vinyl is a beautiful durable flooring product that is an increasingly popular choice for homes, offices, businesses, and stores. It comes in many styles, shapes, patterns, and colors – so many, in fact – that the names of the floors can cause confusion. So here’s a primer:
LVT means Luxury Vinyl Tile. The name implies that it only applies to vinyl flooring that looks like tile, but that’s not always the case. Sometimes even wood look vinyl is called LVT.
LVP is Luxury Vinyl Plank. LVP only refers to the luxury vinyl floor that has the appearance of wood flooring.
LVF refers to Luxury Vinyl Flooring of all kinds. It’s interchangeable with LVT – and that’s what makes it confusing.
Don’t let the confusing terminology put you off, though. No matter how you spell it, LVT, LVP, and LVF are terrific floors. They’re beautiful, versatile, easy to install, and easy to maintain. They’re waterproof, making them the perfect choice for kitchen and bath. Above all, they’re durable, so much so that you have probably walked on Luxury Vinyl at big box stores.
Spell it any way you will, that’s a bargain on top of the already bargain prices that we have waiting for you at Southside!
