If you’ve been to the paint department at Southside, you’ve probably had the pleasure of meeting April Wezlowski. April has been with us for five years, and brought with her a wealth of knowledge about home improvement and repair. She can explain about what hinge you need for your doors. She can tell you about crafting and decorating. She can help you match your molding, or make keys for you. And of course, she knows all about paint!
From the moment she joined the team, April was part of the family, and the family atmosphere is one of the things that April loves about working here. She also likes the fact that she’s able to think out of the box to help both customers and the store.
When April isn’t mixing paint here, she enjoys being a sous-chef to her husband, Mike. They’ve been married 28 years, and he is an excellent cook. She also like to garden, and has quite the green thumb with house plants.
You don’t have to talk to April long for her to share with you about her sweet rescue dogs. The oldest was part of a litter whose mother had been hit by a car. She actually had a dream one night about the younger dog – before she’d even seen him. Shortly after the dream, she and Mike fostered the dog ‘just for the weekend’, but April knew that this dog was meant to be in their family.
