Kilz Primer is probably the best known primer brand. It comes in a variety of products for different surfaces and applications. Their Original Multi-Surface Primer with the famous red and white label is oil based, and yes, we have it! Original Kilz is a versatile option that can be used on walls, ceilings, and even furniture. Kilz 2 is a water-based formula with a blue and white label that dries quickly and has a low odor. Another oil based Kilz that we carry is the Original Low Odor.
Kilz also offers specialty primers, such as Kilz Adhesion Primer, which is designed for use on hard-to-stick surfaces like glossy or tile surfaces, and Kilz Mold & Mildew Primer, which contains a mildew-resistant coating to prevent future growth. And yes, we carry Kilz oil based primer, a traditional option that is hard to find. We have one gallon and five gallon buckets of Kilz oil based primer.
Glidden is another popular brand of primer that offers a range of products for various surfaces and uses. Their primers are a high-quality option that can be used on both interior and exterior surfaces. The water-based formula provides excellent adhesion and coverage, and it dries to a smooth finish. Glidden also offers specialty primers, such as Drywall and Stain Block. Of course many Glidden products come with paint and primer in one, both for interior and exterior applications.
