Rick and Kim Poplin’s home was built in the early 70’s. They bought it in 2000, and began remodeling. Doors, screens, a vanity, flooring – they got from us. They left the most important room for last – the kitchen, which still had the original stick built cabinets nailed to the wall. “I loved them for 23 years,” Kim says, “but they were spent!”
So they started shopping for cabinets. The first place they went was the default big box store. They picked out standard cabinets to fit their space, and got sticker shock. $51,000.
They shopped some more, and then remembered Southside and the Country Linen cabinets that we keep in stock. They laid out their cabinets with us, and absolutely couldn’t believe the price for the cabinets was so very much better than they had priced at the other store. “Southside wasn’t even in the same league! It was less than $9000! When we added crown molding, it brought the price to $9800.” That’s still 80% less!
Rick and Kim saved so much money that they were able to order some higher end accessories – a double lazy susan, pull outs, a cutlery drawer, spice rack, and roll out shelves. We even installed these for them.
The day of installation, Rick realized they had left a cabinet off the order. They called us in the morning, and we were able to have their cabinet assembled and ready by noon.
The Poplins ended up with a higher end kitchen for a fraction of what they would have paid elsewhere. “It was an absolute life changer!” Rick says.
